Oven Ribs

For those who want ribs faster and more ‘Grill Like’ Oven baking can prove to be an excellent method.

  1. Prepare ribs in a baking pan large enough to hold all the ribs or roasts you want to serve. Throw in an extra slab or two for leftovers (Yes they are equally good the next day for lunch).
  2. Season with any dry rub you particularly like. (When Dr. Dan develops his rub, we’ll be sure to let you know). When in doubt, a gentle sprinkle of salt, black pepper, and 3-4 cloves of Garlic will always help.
  3. Wrap the ribs in foil sealing them in so all the wonderful flavors are kept where they belong.
  4. Bake in a 250 oven for about 2-4 hours depending on how many ribs or roasts you have.
  5. Uncover and check if ready for the next step. Twist a bone, if it breaks loose from the meat, it’s ready.
  6. When ready (See Instructions Above) remove the foil, Drain off all the grease, baste with ½ cup of Dr. Dan’s BBQ Sauce, more if you like, and place back in the oven uncovered for 15-20 minutes. This will heat the sauce and glaze the ribs.
  7. WARNING!!! This phase can be particularly aromatic drawing in neighbors, guests, friends, and even enemies from a great distance. Another reason to double your purchase of Dr. Dan’s BBQ Sauce to feed the hoards this will draw to your door.
  8. Serve Quickly and add more warmed sauce as needed.
