Meat Recipies
Crock Pot Ribs/Roasts
To produce excellent meats with the minimal effort and demands on our skills, the Crock Pot cannot be beat. We do lose the charcoal flavor and nice glazing effect possible only with an grill. But, when you are in need, here is a place to start.
- Separate the ribs into single ribs or pairs. OR trim the roast to fit in your particular Appliance.
- Season with any dry rub you particularly like. (When Dr. Dan develops his rub, we’ll be sure to let you know). When in doubt, a gentle sprinkle of salt, black pepper, and 3-4 cloves of Garlic will always help.
- Turn on Crock Pot on low and let it go all day.
- 30 minutes before serving, drain all the fat from the ribs. Introduce ½ cup of Dr. Dan’s BBQ Sauce. Cover and continue to heat for 30 minutes.
- WATCH OUT!!! When your family smells the Dr. Dan’s BBQ Sauce permeating the air with it’s unique olfactory aroma, they will be drooling to be first to dive into this pot.
- Serve before the heathens violate all rules of civility and eat them straight from the pot before diner is properly served.
